The Child Development Helpline is a digital initiative to assist nursing mothers in ensuring proper care for the developmental milestones of their children between the ages of 1month to 5years. The initiative will have more emphasis on the social growth, communication, cognitive and physical development of the child.
The aim of this initiative is to provide nursing mothers with adequate information on early childhood developmental milestones and provide early intervention services for their special-needs children.
The Child Development Helpline is an extension of the AUTISM AID APP by the AUTISM AMBASSADORS OF GHANA, which is a mobile app that ensures social inclusion for children living with Autism in Ghana. The AUTISM AID APP has been in existence since April 2016 and available on the Google Play Store for downloads across the world. It’s the first of its kind in Ghana and Africa.
The impact of the Child Development Helpline is in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGS) number 3: Good Health and Well-Being.
